Substance Use Disorder Treatment

About Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services

Tri-County offers person-centered, trauma informed services focused on the promotion of sustained recovery from substance use and enhanced quality of life for the individuals we serve. In doing so, we utilize various therapeutic modalities and interventions while adhering to our empirically validated, evidence-based curriculum with proven outcomes.

Treatment Interventions

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that our thoughts affect our feelings and behaviors, not external factors, like people, situations, and events. The benefit of this therapy is that when individuals are able to modify their thoughts about a situation, their feelings can subsequently change for the better even if the situation itself does not change.

Trauma Informed Care (TIC)

Trauma informed care takes a holistic approach in providing individualized services tailored to the individuals’ respective trauma history and subsequent coping mechanisms.

Motivational Interviewing

A psychotherapeutic approach that attempts to move an individual away from a state of indecision or uncertainty and towards finding motivation to making positive change and accomplishing established goals (Hettema et al., 2005).

Seeking Safety

Seeking Safety is an evidence-based treatment model that treats the co-occurring diagnoses of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Substance Use Disorder.
